Mrs Irene Graham of Thorpe Avenue Boscombe , delighted the audience with her reminiscence of the German prisoner of war who was sent each week to do her garden. He was repatriated at the end of 1945.She recalled, "He'd always seemed a nice , friendly chap but when the crocuses came up in the middle of our lawn in February 1946 , they spelled out "Heil Hitler" (Bournemouth Evening Echo)

Awww, how cute. I cant let my daughter see this! She is campaigning for a hamster or the bigger one, I cant remember the name.
He really is cute, and so gentle.Has never bitten or been aggressive.The big ones...could you mean gerbils? or even guinea pigs? Ive got two of them also.Ill try and find the pics.
Takes me back to the good old days - I think you'll understand my meaning ;)!!!
