The Bee
I took these pics of a bumble bee on a Buddleia in my garden last year and I so love them I want to put them on display. Its as tho the bee got fed up with being photographed and decided...thats it...Im off!
I looked on my 'Bumble bee identification' card and I can reliably say this is a terrestris bumblebee. If it has a black tip to its tail it is female-if not it is male...I bet you wish you had such a card!
January 10th2010 Mrs Irene Graham of Thorpe Avenue Boscombe , delighted the audience with her reminiscence of the German prisoner of war who was sent each week to do her garden. He was repatriated at the end of 1945.She recalled, "He'd always seemed a nice , friendly chap but when the crocuses came up in the middle of our lawn in February 1946 , they spelled out "Heil Hitler" (Bournemouth Evening Echo)
