I wish to thank Jarvis Cocker for the words of his latest song. They feel very fitting for a number of situations that gave me cause for grief in my life. Also, why do some people feel they have to contribute absolutely nothing in order to achieve what they want? I speak of relationships.
Sorry, Im in one of those moods.
Rock on Jarvis..... let him read your palm and guess your sign
let him take you home and treat you fine
but baby..dont let him waste your time
dont let him waste your time.

Pilates

The attempt to get fit included signing on for a pilates class. Ive always quite fancied it because I like yoga and it just looked like fast yoga to me.
Anyway...me and my mate Helen signed up for a beginners class.
The damn woman spent three quarters of the class telling us about which muscle groups we would be exercising and only one quarter doing the goddamn exercises! And she was SOOO precious about it "not being at all like yoga "( yeah, right!).
The only lively bit came because Helen kept moaning when we were stretching our ham strings and I told her to be quiet because she was a wimp (just kidding around) and to remember "no pain no gain.

Go for the burn".
This made us both collapse with laughter and the woman came over and told us off.We really are a disruptive influence.Considering the fact that we are both teachers...we should know better!
Still , I went for the next two weeks and rumour has it that we will be moving to intermediates in a couple of weeks time. Helen is practising her panto Sleeping Beauty this Wednesday so it will just be me and the woman.
Bring it on!

Ive been a lazy blogger!
Well, here I am! I didnt realise how long it has been.
Excuses are that Ive been trying to get fit, preparing for school, doing offsprings college work for him, being a taxi service, cooking , cleaning.......yawn yawn, yeah well, Im back.
Did someone famous say that? Oh yeah , my hero Arnie.

The curious incident of the son in the night time....aka...a series of unfortunate events.
Apologies to Mark Haddon (author of the Dog in the night time).
Makes us laugh now, but tempers (the youngests)were frayed at the time.
The story went like this...Both boys went out.I went to bed at 12.30 am .The eldest, Chris, came in at 3 and put the chain on the door. Unfortunately...his brother was still out!
I took my mobile to bed with me just in case but Nick rang his brother at 3.30am, who was out like a light.
Didnt hear the phone , leaving Nick to spend the night on the garden bench, no more credit on his mobile.
5.45 he finally gained access to the house, not at all happy!! Slept for the rest of the day.
Now, Im damn sure that I would have woken up everyone in the neighbourhood rather than spend the night in the garden but Nick isnt like me.Hes a NICE boy.
I must have done something right.Im sure hes not scared of me!
Just as well it wasnt raining or frosty. Moral.....well, Im sure youll find several.Including mobiles and credit and chains on doors etc etc etc.

Torchwood

Oh my Sunday nights will never be the same! I so LOVED this series.Especially Captain Jack. Yes, I know hes gay! And heres a pic of his partner of 16 years, Scott.

TTFN
They are both serious eye candy in my mind.It doesnt always have to be about sex does it?!

But the show itself I loved.Even Owen with his huge Steven Tyler mouth looking like a wide mouthed frog. I think they got it just right.Bit of Welsh, some serious creatures (weevils and cannibals), distinctly asexual or overtly gay for the most part but always exciting and different!
Being repeated on BBC 3 at 10pm on Sundays.Watch it if you havent already.I like it because its not too grown up. Oh yes...New series Nip/Tuck tonight.Better get sorted before that comes on.
