Walk a mile in my moccasins

Why are people so judgemental? Without even having experienced the tribulations of those they judge? OK....heres the story...... news item UK recently. A family in the UK have a severely disabled child who they love and care for..do everything for..and wouldnt be without her.Although, understandably , they would have wished that she could have had a more fulfilled life. Now I dont know any more details about her disability but I guess its got to be pretty damn severe because they have agreed with the hospital, to restrict her growth using growth hormone related drugs. This is simply because as she gets older and bigger it becomes more and more difficult to care for her and they want to continue to do that.
Sounds a little bizarre but who, yes WHO are we to judge? As for these outraged-of-tunbridge-wells types...!! All I will say again is...... walk a mile in their moccasins ....AND TAKE YOUR OWN OFF FIRST!

Sophie..playing the fool...as usual!!

My niece Sophie, silly bat, love her to bits.

Back to work......!!! Dammit!!!

Back to reality today.Need to earn a crust. At least I wasnt teaching, just doing paperwork. Just!! What am I saying?! Goddamn paperwork taking over my life.Actually , I dont mind it when I can be single minded. The trouble with teaching is that you can NEVER be single minded! Multitasking and flexibility is always the order of the day.For example......this morning I did not achieve one solitary thing that I set out to because other things always came up...stuff from the clinic re a child that I had to read through, thoroughly disagree with and make notes on...a child wanting to tell me what Christmas presents he got...um miss...um miss....um miss...yes, tell me later I NEED to go and get a drink and something to eat!! (It was 12.45)...my LSA needing something to keep her occupied.....my playground duty which I forgot until a child came and got me.....a complaint I had to deal with......bookchanging for another child who just wanted to muck around...etc etc etc.I love my job and the kids , I just need to lock myself away to get my reports and plans and resources done. Stop moaning, at least Ive got a job I like. Onward and upward.

FAUST

I went to see the most amazing performing arts production of FAUST.
It was by a group called Punchdrunk (see links) and performed in a derelict warehouse in Wapping....yes....derelict....
Wapping.
Atmospheric, creepy, mindblowing experience.
Search and find, decide where to go next, whats happening with whom and down which pitch black, ghost train corridor. All members of the audience wore scream type masks so if you saw someone lurking somewhere you could immediately tell whether or not they were cast or audience. Obviously no seats. All walking or creeping around with just nightlights in rows to show you the way.to where????
It was magnificent.I have been to each of the previous two perfomances and they never cease to amaze and thrill. The only trouble was
the goddamn masks literally
dripped with sweat so they werent too comfortable. And, try getting home from Wapping by public transport very late on a Friday night. No joke.

Definitely outside most peoples comfort zone, physically and mentally. But it was so worth it.Check out the link.

ANYONE CAN COMMENT

What an idiot ! I bet MILLIONS of people have read and wanted to comment on my erudite literary prose but couldnt. So, now, Ive changed the settings.

New Years message

Always remember for 2007.........Life is short...break the rules

Forgive quickly

Kiss slowly

Love truly

Laugh uncontrollably

And never regret anything that made you smile.
